The UK’s biggest jellyfish facility will open this Easter at Sea Life Aquarium in London.
The new Ocean Invaders zone will feature three different spaces.
In the first area, ‘Discover’, visitors can explore the world of the jellyfish and find out about their lifecycle and survival skills.
The ‘Understand’ area will spotlight different species and offer tourists the chance to create their own digital swarm and test the strength of the jellyfish sting.
In the ‘Wow’ area, visitors will be completely surrounded by a jellyfish invasion.
Six species will be on display including the common Moon jellyfish, the Upside Down jellyfish and the Japanese Sea Nettles with long stinging tentacles.
The Behind the Scenes Jellyfish Tour will allow guests to get closer to these creatures as well as witnessing the extensive breeding programme.
Ocean Invaders will be a permanent addition to aquarium and included in the entrance price. Group discounts are available.
The Merlin Entertainments-owned attraction is home to more than 10,000 aquatic inhabitants, representing 600 species in 65 immersive displays.
Sea Life London Aquarium is on the south bank of the river Thames, within the County Hall building, next to the Coca-Cola London Eye.
