West End-style shows for Wicksteed Park

Wicksteed Park has unveiled its daytime shows for 2017, providing “West End quality” entertainment, with lunch and afternoon tea in the park’s historic Edwardian Pavilion.

The first show for 2017 is Twist and Shout (March 13-16), a nostalgic musical journey through the sounds of the 60s.

It features more than 40 songs, a live band and a cast of six singers and dancers performing hits such as She Loves You, Glad All Over and Something Tells Me I’m Into Something Good.

On selected dates in May and June is The Great British Seaside Show, based on the classic end-of-pier variety show.

Songs include Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside, Summertime Blues and Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.

Back by popular demand, Hooray for Hollywood takes audiences to 1920s London on selected dates in September.

Finally, Auntie Brenda’s Christmas Tale is a choreographed show with a four-piece band and more than 40 costumes.

The show premieres on November 5 and will be performed on dates throughout November and December.

Coach drivers visiting the venue near Kettering are provided with free lunch and refreshments.

The venue now has dedicated coach parking for up to 30 coaches, with overflow parking available.
