UKinbound seals deal with Arabian Travel Market

UKinbound will exhibit at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2018, as part of its strategy of supporting its members to grow in new and emerging markets.

The deal is a first for the association and will see it take over the management of the UK stand from Pavilion Expo.

The agreement follows UKinbound’s visit to ATM 2017 in Dubai last month, where it said there was “tremendous interest” in the UK among the show’s 28,000 delegates.

Exhibiting at ATM will provide UKinbound members with the opportunity to engage with buyers from the wider Gulf region – plus buyers from India, Africa and Asia for whom ATM is a “must-attend” event.

Deirdre Wells (pictured), UKinbound chief executive, said: “We are very excited to have signed this agreement with Reed Exhibitions, which will allow UKinbound and its members to strengthen partnerships and secure new outbound opportunities from the Middle East and other key markets at ATM 2018.

“We know that outbound travel from GCC countries alone is expected to grow by 82.5% in the next 10 years and that these visitors spent over £1.59 billion in 2015.

“As the UK prepares to leave the European Union, managing the UK stand at the show is part of our new Global Britain strategy and will provide a platform to showcase the wealth of tourism attractions waiting to be discovered in the UK.”
