Lincoln aims to be ‘top 10 UK destination’

Head of Visit Lincoln Lydia Rusling has created two new positions in the team to keep up with rising demand from businesses wanting to join as partners.

The new team members are PR and marketing professional Charlotte Goy (pictured) and University of Lincoln graduate Bryony Keep.

Lydia Rusling said: “We have an ambitious plan to make Lincoln a top 10 UK destination, and having the proper team with the right skills set to achieve this is critical.

“Charlotte brings eight years of tourism and B2B marketing experience to Visit Lincoln, and having worked with her on several projects in the past I knew she was right person for the job.

“She shares my passion to make Lincoln a leading destination and has a proven track record for delivering PR and marketing that makes a difference.

“She will lead on Visit Lincoln’s marketing campaigns which include the 800th anniversary of the Charter of the Forest in November, the centenary of the RAF and Lincolnshire’s aviation connections in 2018, and the joint marketing opportunities with Virgin Trans as we approach the additional Lincoln to London services in 2019.”

Visit Lincoln launched in 2011 and is the city’s Destination Management Organisation.

Rusling continued: “I’m also delighted to welcome Bryony to the team”, continued Lydia. “Despite being with us for just over a month she is already playing a vital business development role which includes processing partnership applications and enquiries.

“Visit Lincoln has 158 partners, over 95% of which are private businesses. But we have plans to double this over the next year and Bryony will play a key role in helping to achieve this.”

Charlotte Goy and Bryony Keep join Clare Williams, business development manager, and Joel Murray, digital marketing coordinator.
