Groups are invited to dress up for the Ghostly Gaslight Halloween fright night at Blists Hill Victorian Town, one of Shropshire’s Ironbridge Gorge Museums (October 28).
The attraction will be transformed into an eerie place with spooky encounters for visitors – including a wizard casting spells, the local carpenter seeking victims to nail in his coffin, ghostly apparitions in the windows and zombies looking for brains.
Light and sound effects will create shadowy walkways and a firework show and pyrotechnic displays will also create dramatic scenes.
Groups can also see a spectacular firework display at Blists Hill on November 4.
Visitors can talk to the townsfolk in their cottages, shops and other places of work and hear about life in the late 1800s.
The town’s foundry will stage an iron casting demonstration with molten iron poured into moulds.
