Sightseeing app hits hotspots

An urban discovery app has been launched containing ‘Trails’ around a growing number of UK towns and cities.

Crumbs hosts a series of trails for users to discover by answering questions based on physical clues they find on the street.

The trails are designed to ensure each route hits all of the major sights in the particular area.

The app is positioning itself as an alternative to walking tours and guidebook, and is aimed at visiting sightseers and locals who want to learn more about their area.

Trails can be tailored to requirements but typically start at a central point and take around an hour. Activity can be paused and revisited at a later time.

New trails can be produced in almost any interesting urban area, and Tourist Information Centres can now use Crumbs for free to create tailored trails around their towns and cities.
