A new installation by renowned light artist Ulf Pedersen will illuminate The Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall on selected nights in December.
‘Heligan by Night’ will encourage visitors to “transform the act of looking into a physical experience – where audiences frequently find themselves immersed in a sensational play of light and colour as the space metamorphoses into something unique and magical,” said Pedersen.
Over 15 years Ulf has travelled internationally bringing his work to locations from Oxford Botanical Gardens to Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
He has worked with the National Trust, producing a successful solo show at Hestercombe Gardens which examined the relationship between garden designer Gertrude Jekyll and architect Edward Lutyens.
Pedersen said: “These shows have attracted tens of thousands of visitors and given me great experience of bringing, small-scale, human experiences to large-scale artistic interventions”
‘Heligan by Night’ will take place on the following evenings in December: 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30. Booking is essential.
