The Tourism Society’s annual Tourism Symposium will take place in Greenwich (June 4-5), with a programme of tours and a day-long conference.
Delegates will be able to find out what’s on offer for tourists visiting the Unesco World Heritage site of Maritime Greenwich, thanks to three ‘discovery tours’ created by Visit Greenwich.
The tours on June 4 offer the chance to visit sites such as the Old Royal Naval College and Royal Museums Greenwich; Greenwich Peninsula and The O2; and Woolwich, where a creative district is being developed.
Following the tours will be the Tourism Society Annual General Meeting, and a summer reception in Queen Mary Undercroft, Old Royal Naval College.
The conference starts at 8.30am on June 5, at the University of Greenwich, Old Royal Naval College.
Sessions will cover tourism development and destination conservation; travel, transport and technology; Brexit; and the industry’s workforce.
