The first UK stage adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple thriller The Mirror Crack’d from Side to Side opens in Salisbury next year, ahead of a tour.
The Mirror Crack’d will open at Salisbury Playhouse on February 15, 2019, and the production will tour to Dublin, Cambridge and Cardiff.
It is a collaboration between Wales Millennium Centre and Wiltshire Creative – a new pan-arts organisation that brings together Salisbury Arts Centre, Salisbury International Arts Festival and Salisbury Playhouse.
The story will be adapted for the stage by Rachel Wagstaff and directed by Melly Still.
Graeme Farrow, artistic director at Wales Millennium Centre, said: “We are hugely excited to bring a dynamic, thoroughly modern Marple to the stage.
“We hope that The Mirror Crack’d will provide Agatha Christie fans with a new twist and attract new audiences to her work.”
Gareth Machin, Wiltshire Creative artistic director, added: “We are very proud to be co-producing this major project as part of our inaugural season.”
