Budget chain Travelodge is to recruit 1,785 new members of staff this summer as it opens new hotels across the UK.
The total includes 1,167 permanent roles across the chain’s 546 hotels across the country.
The company is opening five new hotels and recruiting for new hotel teams at new flagship property London City Travelodge and hotels in Telford, Welwyn Garden City, Gainsborough and Redruth.
Permanent positions include hotel managers, assistant managers, bar cafe assistant, house-keeper, guest room cleaners and receptionists.
Travelodge is also looking to fill 36 positions at its head office in Thame, Oxfordshire including positions in IT, revenue, HR, marketing, customer services and sales.
The remaining positions include 582 summer jobs across the portfolio as support during the summer peak.
Chief operating officer Craig Bonnar said: “As one of the UK’s largest hotel chains, operating 546 hotels across the country we are gearing up for a busy summer period which includes the opening of our new flagship hotel, London City Travelodge.
“To support our operations we are actively recruiting for 1,785 people to join our Travelodge team.
“Joining Travelodge opens the door to training, coaching and career progression. Our in-house management development programme has helped hundreds of entry level colleagues into a management job.
