Holiday park firm Leisure Resorts has opened a £12 million park in the Yorkshire Dales, offering self-catering breaks that can be booked via its partner, Hoseasons.
One of three parks owned by Leisure Resorts, Aysgarth Lodge Holidays offers 75 holiday lodges set within a 33-acre site.
Each lodge has a private hot tub and decked area, kitchens and smart TVs.
The upmarket park aims to be plastic-free and to source supplies where possible from nearby farms and manufacturers.
The park includes an adventure playground and petting farm, home to pigs, sheep, chipmunks, alpacas and donkeys.
Gary Molloy, managing director at Leisure Resorts, said: “For too long, park holidays have been perceived as a cheap and lower quality choice.
“Aysgarth is our first-step to proving that need not be the case, placing exceptional, purpose-built, individual lodges within the most beautiful of settings which is finely equipped.
“Enabling singles, couples, families and groups to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy quality time together is our ambition and with close to full occupancy in our opening week, it seems that the British public welcome that very much.”
The other parks in the firm’s portfolio include Rivers Edge in North Yorkshire and Lakesway in the Lake District.
