Daish’s turns spotlight on ruby jubilee with showcase

Daish’s Holidays will mark its 40th anniversary next year, and plans a special trade showcase to celebrate the landmark.

The holiday group was created by owner Jeannie Wilson in 1979 when she purchased her first hotel: Daish’s Hotel in Shanklin, Isle of Wight.

Now the company has eight hotels in seven popular seaside destinations across the country. It also operates 23 coaches to take customers on group tours.

The special 40th Anniversary Daish’s Celebration Showcase will take place at Daish’s Hotel on October 2-6, 2019.

Daish’s Holidays is organising the four-night event with group travel specialists Steve Reed Tourism.

It will include familiarisation visits to popular group attractions including Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House and the Isle of Wight Railway.

Furthermore, the trip includes return travel with a car on Wightlink Ferries.

Martin Jenkins, groups and travel trade manager for Daish’s Holidays, said: “We’re really looking forward to celebrating in some style with GTOS when they arrive at Daish’s Hotel in Shanklin.

“Daish’s Hotel – which has recently had a £1.5 million refurbishment – was Mrs Wilson’s first acquisition back in 1979 and it has proved to be a wonderful hotel ever since, providing many happy memories for generations of group travellers.’
