Take your partners for Strictly Tea Dance in Docklands

Tour wholesaler City & Village Tours has unveiled ‘The Strictly Tea Dance’, a new product for groups that combines entertainment, dancing and a classic afternoon tea.

The three-and-a half-hour entertainment packages take place each Wednesday afternoon onboard Tereza Joanne, a large venue boat moored in the Royal Docks of London’s East End.

The events are hosted by comedian and impressionist Chris Wheeler, with a showcase of ballroom and Latin dance presented by professional dancers Kerry Tite and Jonathan Reed (pictured).

Gyll King, the proprietor of City & Village Tours, said: “Our group travel organiser clients know that they can rely on us to put together a well-organised, entertaining and fun event. In London they also want somewhere that’s easy to get to.

“We’ve put together ‘The Strictly Tea Dance’ with all that very much in mind, especially the free parking for coaches.

“The event, which runs from 12 noon to 3.30pm, is one of our ‘Jam Buster’ events, timed to ensure coaches can get away well before the evening rush hour.

“With breath-taking demonstration dances from the professionals; participation dances as part of the show; and an open floor for traditional tea dancing, this new weekly event is suitable for dancers and non-dancers alike.”

‘The Strictly Tea Dance’ costs £35 per person for groups of 25 or more.
