Circus star Vanessa Alvarez and comedian Paul Eastwood have been announced as part of the line-up for Thursford’s Christmas Spectacular (November 6-December 23).
Thursford Christmas Spectacular in Norfolk claims to be Europe’s biggest Christmas show with a budget of £1.8 million.
A seventh-generation circus performer who recently performed at the famous Underbelly Festival in London, Alvarez will showcase her style of antipodism, juggling an array of props with her feet.
She will join Norfolk’s popular comedian Eastwood, who returns to compere the evening shows.
Now in its 41st year, the three-hour Thursford Christmas Spectacular will present its “most ambitious and lavish show ever”, with a cast of 130 professional singers, dancers and musicians, many of whom are West End performers.
The Vegas-style production is set to entertain more than 110,000 visitors from across the country and beyond. Over the past 41 years, it has welcomed more than 5.4 million visitors.
One of the Thursford Collection’s most prized possessions, The Mighty Wurlitzer – one of the largest remaining Wurlitzers in Europe – is said to be a spectacle in its own right and will entertain visitors throughout the evening.
Coach operators from across the country offer trips to Thursford, and up to 50 coaches a day travel to the show, with many people turning their visit into a short break in Norfolk.
