Some of the world’s finest jousters are descending on Arundel Castle this week for the 10th International Jousting and Medieval Tournament: Champion of Champions.
The six-day event runs until July 29 and sees professional jousters representing famous contenders from the past compete against one another in full plate armour.
After the first day, three knights were tied.
Activities for visitors include archery, falconry displays, face painting, arts and crafts and storytelling.
Visitors can also see the jousting horses, some of which have featured on Poldark and Peaky Blinders.
The International Jousting and Medieval Tournament will culminate on Sunday.
