Cheryl McCain has joined the Tourism Society as its new executive director.
McCain replaces Gregory Yeoman and brings more than 10 years of marketing, communications and membership experience.
Her skills include business development, e-commerce, public relations, event marketing and sales.
She most recently held leadership positions at Signature Travel Network in Los Angeles, and the Women’s Business Council in Dallas.
She received her bachelor of science degree in communications and marketing from Northern Michigan University.
• The Tourism Society has confirmed the dates for next year’s Tourism Symposium, which will take place in Blackpool on September 23-24.
The organisation has also moved to a new office on London South Bank University’s campus. Its new location means LSBU students and staff can participate in society activities.
