Woburn Abbey and Gardens has announced the dates for its annual Garden Show 2019, with dedicated rates available for groups, writes Angie Cronin.
The show, in its 10th year, will take place on June 22-23, with show-only prices for groups of £11.50 for adults and £9.50 for concessions. Prices for groups choosing to visit the abbey and gardens during the show are £16 adults and £14.50 concessions. Group discounts apply to groups of 12 or more.
The Woburn Abbey Garden Show offers a range of specialist plant nurseries, selected garden trade stands and a talks theatre headlined by BBC Gardeners’ Question Time panellist Pippa Greenwood and BBC TV presenter and garden designer Adam Frost.
There will also be a programme of live entertainment, artisan foods, shopping, demonstrations, talks and gardening advice, tips and tours.
Other highlights include free garden tours with qualified gardeners from the Royal Horticultural Society, tips and advice from Woburn gardeners and rare access to see the private gardens of the Duke and Duchess of Bedford.
Woburn Abbey and Gardens are open daily this year until October 28, and reopen on April 4, 2019.
The Bedfordshire attraction will close on September 1, 2019, for refurbishment, and will reopen at Easter 2021.
However, there are still plans to hold the annual garden show during the closure period. The exhibition on Humphry Repton, the famous 18th-century landscape gardener, will remain open for the 2019 season.
Woburn Abbey and Gardens also works with Woburn Safari Park and Bletchley Park to offer joint group visitor experiences.
