Fame the Musical will transfer to London’s West End next autumn, after it finishes its UK tour which celebrates 30 years since the original Miami production.
The musical will be at the Peacock Theatre (September 11-October 19, 2019) with TV star Jorgie Porter, soul legend Mica Paris (pictured) and theatre actor Keith Jack.
The trio are also starring in the UK tour which began yesterday (October 1) in Woking.
Hollyoaks favourite Jorgie Porter – currently playing Iris Kelly in the tour – will make her West End debut when the tour reaches London.
Paris, a platinum-selling soul artist and star of Chicago and Love Me Tender, plays Miss Sherman, while Any Dream Will Do star Jack plays the role of Nick Piazza.
The tour will visit 28 venues across England, Scotland and Wales between October 2018 and September 2019.
Based on the 1980 movie, Fame the Musical follows lives of students at New York’s High School For The Performing Arts as they navigate their way through the highs and lows of romances and heartbreaks.
