Casting revealed for ‘joyous musical’ set in Newfoundland

The cast has been announced for Come From Away, a musical that tells the true story of 7,000 air passengers stranded in Canada during the wake of 9/11 in 2001.

It will premiere in Dublin’s Abbey Theatre on December 6 for a seven-week run, before transferring to the Phoenix Theatre in London’s West End on January 30, 2019.

The show is described as a “joyous new musical” which shares the “incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives”.

The cast includes Jenna Boyd, Nathanael Campbell, Clive Carter, Mary Doherty, Robert Hands, Helen Hobson, Jonathan Andrew Hume, Harry Morrison, Emma Salvo, David Shannon, Cat Simmons, Rachel Tucker, Mark Dugdale, Bob Harms, Kiara Jay and Kirsty Malpass.

The multi-award-winning musical continues sold-out engagements on Broadway, and in Canada, with a 60-city North American tour recently launched in Seattle, an Australian production confirmed for summer 2019, and a feature film adaptation in the pipeline.
