Clia supports agents with Cruise Week resources

Travel agents are being offered a range of resources to help them capitalise on Clia Cruise Week which starts on Saturday.

Special mini-videos have been produced by the cruise trade body for agents to download and use when liaising with potential customers face-to-face or via newsletters and emails.

The dedicated ‘festival of cruise’ week will champion the multiple attractions and experiences available on a cruise holiday, with a particular focus on destinations, boutique cruises, family, food, entertainment and activities, health and wellbeing and accommodation.

Downloadable posters, cruise line offers and a dedicated social media guide designed to help agents get the most out of the activities surrounding Cruise Week via Facebook, twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube are being made available via cruiseexperts.org.

Competitions open to agents feature prizes including a Champagne afternoon tea and red carpet film premiere experience.

Clia UK and Ireland director, Andy Harmer, said: “Cruise Week provides an opportunity for the travel industry to come together to promote the great benefits of cruise holidays and aims to encourage more people to consider a cruise for the first time.

“We are providing a range of tools for agent members to use to help them introduce ocean and river holidays to those yet to cruise and I would also encourage everyone to get involved on social media using the hashtag #CLIACruiseFest.”
