Mother and daughter found living at Larnaca airport

A mother and daughter have been found living at Larnaca Airport in Cyprus.

According to Greek newspaper Phileleftheros, the German pair have been living in the airport’s car park for the past 15 months.

Reports suggest they arrived from Israel in August last year, but instead of returning to Germany have opted to stay in the Mediterranean city’s airport.

They have been offered assistance to help them return to Germany but have refused the help of the Germany Embassy, police and airport officials.

A Hermes Airport spokesman, quoted in the Cyprus Weekly, said: “The airport has offered to help the Germans on numerous occasions but they have refused any aid and seem somewhat unwilling to change their circumstances.”
