As part of this year’s St Andrew’s Day celebrations, free tickets to some of Scotland’s most iconic heritage attractions are being made available to the public.
From Saturday 28 to Sunday 29 November – Ticket Giveaway weekend – thousands of free tickets will be allocated to visitors who apply via online pre-registration.
The application period began on November 10 and ends on November 27. Visitors can apply for a maximum of two adult and three family tickets to each historic property of their choosing by visiting www.ticketgiveaway.co.uk.
There 35 participating winter ticketed attractions throughout Scotland to choose from, including Dryburgh Abbey in the Borders, Edinburgh Castle and Skara Brae in Orkney.
Stephen Duncan, director of commercial and tourism for Historic Environment Scotland, said: “Our Ticket Giveaway weekend offers the public a fantastic opportunity to explore and discover more about some of the country’s best known heritage attractions, including its iconic castles, abbeys and palaces, amongst others, for free.”
