African low-cost carrier Fastjet has recruited a new finance chief.
Lisa Mitchell was today named as chief financial officer and executive director of the airline with immediate effect.
She has been working with the airline on a consultancy basis and was previously chief financial officer of oil and gas company Ophir Energy.
Mitchell replaces Nick Caine, who announced his departure from Fastjet in October.
Chief executive, Ed Winter, said: “We are delighted that Lisa has accepted this role. Her experience of working in various African jurisdictions will be invaluable and we look forward to welcoming Lisa to the board.
“We will be sorry to see Nick leave and thank him for his dedication and great contribution to Fastjet and wish him every success in his future career.”
