Pete Waters of Visit East Anglia and Jason Triandafyllou from advertising agency Designate will speak at the Association of Group Travel Organisers (AGTO) Silver Anniversary Showcase Weekend (October 28-30).
Taking place Dunston Hall Hotel, Norwich, the event brings together group organiser and associate members from across the UK to participate in a programme of business and social sessions.
Waters has been on the board of Visit East Anglia as executive director since April 2014 and combines the role with being brand manager at Visit Norfolk.
His presentation at the showcase will highlight the wide range of locations in the region that are ideal for group visits.
Triandafyllou has been a partner at Brighton-based marketing agency Designate since 2006. His session will focus on how group organisers can more effectively market their trips to attract participants.
Designate has a strong track record in the tourism sector and carried out the rebranding work for AGTO earlier this year.
Mike Bugsgang, AGTO chief executive, said: “Their presentations will provide a valuable insight to members into how to generate more interest in group travel.”
As well as the guest speakers, the event will feature familiarisation trips to regional attractions including Norwich Unesco City of Literature, Sandringham and Great Yarmouth. There will also be networking sessions and an anniversary dinner with entertainment arranged by headline sponsor, ‘made’ tourism marketing.
