This May, an all-new resort is coming to İzmir’s sandy shores. The Tui Blue Angora Beach is exclusively for adults, with 115 stylish rooms set within gorgeous Ottoman-style houses, complete with semi-private pools. There’s a trio of tasty restaurants to pick from and guests can also float over to the main pool bar or stretch out on the beach directly in front of the hotel.

Book it: Tui offers a seven-night stay from £713 per person, based on two sharing a double room with garden view, on an all-inclusive basis. Includes flights departing from Gatwick on June 4 and transfers.

Paloma Pasha

2. Paloma Pasha

Near the resort of Özdere is the Paloma Pasha. ‘Pasha’ is an honorific term in Turkish, and clients will live like lords here: the Iznik tile-style rooms are spacious, the gigantic lazy river pool winds around the hotel in a W shape, and the circular bar offers panoramic Aegean views on all sides.

There’s also a private sandy beach and a jetty for clients who can’t get enough of the crystal-clear sea.

Sitting pretty on a sea-lapped peninsula near Sığacık is the luxurious (and large, at 423 rooms) Euphoria. It boasts its own private island with turquoise coves as well as a plunge pool filled with water from a subterranean spring.

If hunger strikes, there are 10 restaurants, with Turkish kebabs sitting happily alongside Japanese sushi and Mexican wraps.
