New Riviera Travel app aims to boost agent engagement

Riviera Travel has developed an internal app to enable its trade team to dedicate more time to engaging with their agent partners.

The river cruise and escorted tour operator said the system allows key account managers to track their agency visits and outcomes.

This data is can be used to coordinate schedules and target specific partners who are keen to work more closely with Riviera.

It also features a one-click reporting function, reducing time spent on administration tasks by about 50%.

Meeting notes can be logged instantly and shared across the trade team to help Riviera to provide more personalised support to agents through tailored emails and content.

Vicky Billing, head of trade and partnerships at Riviera Travel, said: “We have ambitious trade growth plans and it’s essential that we stay ahead of the game.

“This app makes it easier for our key account managers to do what they do best: getting out on the road and building those key relationships.

“We’ve received positive feedback to date, with both our team and agent partners reaping the benefits of an easy-to-use system that drives mutual sales.”

Riviera has increased its trade team this year with the appointments of Suzanne Warren as key account manager for the southeast, Amanda Docherty as key account manager for homeworkers, and Chris McCloskey and Lloyd Morris as key account managers.
